Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Part-Time Chef for a Caribbean Fusion Cafe to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and a commitment to food safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic hospitality environment, delivering exceptional dining experiences while developing your professional skills in a supportive setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee food production processes ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation
Manage food safety protocols and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen
Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support during service
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory efficiently
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned regularly
Lead by example in maintaining a positive team environment and fostering collaboration

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Supervising experience with team management skills
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members
Experience in food production, culinary arts, and hospitality service is highly desirable
Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service standards
A passion for culinary excellence and continuous learning in the food industry

Pay: £12.21-£19.30 per hour
