Full job description

Job Role: Service Manager

JM Refrigeration are seeking a proactive, organised and confident Service Manager to join our busy service office. Working closely with our Technical and Operation desks, you will be the first point of contact for new and existing customers, ensuring every enquiry, callout and update is handled professionally and efficiently.

This role is central to the smooth running of our service operation. You will manage job logging, plan and allocate engineers, monitor progress on site, and keep clients fully informed. Strong communication, clear decision‑making and the ability to stay calm in a fast‑paced environment are essential.

You will also take ownership of key administrative tasks within our job management system, including job card processing, service calendar management, repair estimates and other administrative tasks.

Experience in planning and scheduling reactive breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance is required. Refrigeration industry experience is preferred, but we welcome candidates from similar technical service sectors involving reactive work, engineer coordination and customer management. Leadership experience is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

· Dealing with customer enquiries & updates.

· Reactive breakdown planning & planned maintenance scheduling.

· Organising & providing engineer’s workload efficiently.

· Checking & processing engineers job cards and documents.

· Creating, sending and processing job estimations.

· General computer-based office administration tasks.

Job Type: Full Time

Working Hours: 40 hours per week (8:30 am – 5:00 pm)

Salary: £33,000 – £53,000 Per Annum (Dependant on experience)

Location: JM Refrigeration, Unit 3, Farnworth industrial estate, BL4 7AQ

Pay: £33,000.00-£53,000.00 per year
