Full job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Butcher to join our team. This role requires someone who wants to work with great quality meat, and deliver great customer service.

The role would also suit someone with a Chef background who has good knife and food skills and wants to move to an equally skilled career with better working hours!

We are a busy and dynamic farm shop, restaurant, play barn and pick-your-own business. We have our own in house butchery supplying meat over the counter to customers, and to 2 busy kitchens in the business.

You will report to our Head Butcher and play a pivotal role in maintaining our product range, and all round great customer offering.

Responsibilities:

Support the Head Butcher, ensuring productivity, teamwork, and adherence to quality standards.
Undertake all aspects of butchery, from cutting and trimming to packaging and display.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and product quality.
Help monitor stock levels.
Interact with customers, provide product recommendations.

Skills and Experience:

Excellent communication & customer service skills.
Previous experience working with meat, either in kitchens or butchery
Strong attention to detail.
A genuine passion for learning new things.
Creativity to help develop new ready to cook ranges for our customers.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
