Job Summary

We are seeking A dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. The successful candidates will act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring their vehicle maintenance needs are met efficiently. This role will involve, but is not limited to, booking vehicles in on a manual booking system. Allocation of jobs into the work shop and progressing them by liaising with the technicians. Providing quotations and estimates for the customers before work is started and speaking to customers for authority on the work required. Producing Job sheets and Invoices, ordering of parts to progress the work shop and other general service advisor duty’s The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.

We are seeking one Service Advisors to join our front counter team. This vacancy works on a job share basis. Current permanent hours Monday - Wednesday 7.00am-1.00 pm additional hours required Monday - Friday to cover holiday and sickness.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and establish a professional rapport to understand their vehicle concerns.
Accurately record vehicle issues when booking the vehicle in for repair.
Explain repair and maintenance options clearly, offering recommendations based on mechanical knowledge and information provided by the technicians.
Produce accurate job sheets and Invoicing.
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
Coordinate with the workshop team to schedule repairs and ensure timely service delivery.
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, repairs performed, and parts used.
Opening / closing the business and securing the premises.

Experience

Previous experience in an automotive service environment or related customer service role is preferred . training will be provided.
Strong mechanical knowledge or familiarity with vehicle systems is advantageous..
Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
Competence in cash handling and basic administrative tasks.
Computer skill to produce job sheets and invoicing and a good understanding of basic maths for correctly calculating Job sheets
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

This position would ideally suit somebody that has been involved in the motor trade and wishes to now work part time. We are seeking two Receptionists to job share with a third.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
