Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dispatch Operative to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the dispatch process, ensuring timely loading and unloading of goods, and maintaining accurate stock records. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic warehouse environment, contributing to efficient supply chain operations. Candidates should possess relevant warehouse experience and be comfortable with heavy lifting and mechanical tasks. A proactive attitude and organisational skills are essential for success in this position.

Duties

Operate forklift equipment safely to load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Handle materials efficiently, including picking, packing, and preparing items for dispatch.
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are correctly documented and stored.
Load and unload lorries using appropriate mechanical aids while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain organisation within the warehouse by stocking shelves systematically and ensuring clear pathways.
Support with general warehouse duties such as stock rotation, quality checks, and reporting any discrepancies or damages.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth dispatch operations and meet delivery deadlines.
Helping the team with other duties

Qualifications.

Competence in operating forklift trucks; relevant certification is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is advantageous for handling equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading activities.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate inventory control.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Physical fitness to handle long periods of standing and manual handling tasks.

This role offers a vital position within our logistics operations, requiring dedication, safety awareness, and technical competence to ensure seamless dispatch processes across our facilities.

Pay: £25,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
