Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics. The Mechanic will play a vital part in supporting our organisation’s maintenance programme while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring safety standards are upheld.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Diagnose faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge to identify issues accurately
Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
Perform heavy lifting as required to move or install equipment components safely
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts utilised
Assist with equipment assembly and installation projects as needed
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and organisational standards
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns professionally during maintenance visits
Collaborate with team members to optimise operational workflows and minimise downtime

Experience

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role involving equipment repair and maintenance
Strong understanding of schematics, mechanical systems, and assembly processes
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools
Experience in troubleshooting complex machinery issues effectively
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping
Prior experience delivering high-quality customer service in a technical environment is desirable
