Job Title: Shop Manager – Sandwich & Coffee Shop

Salary: Competitive + Performance Bonus

We're looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious, and commercially minded Shop Manager to lead and grow our independent sandwich shop. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven experience in the food sector who enjoys taking ownership of a business, bringing fresh ideas, and making a real impact.

You'll have the freedom to develop new menus, build our brand, increase customer engagement, and help drive the business forward. If you're passionate about great food, excellent customer service, and growing a successful food business, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the shop.
Develop exciting new menus, seasonal specials, and meal deals.
Build and manage our social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Create and implement marketing campaigns to attract new and returning customers.
Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain the highest food hygiene and safety standards.
Manage stock, suppliers, staffing, and daily operations.
Monitor sales, control costs, and identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
Build relationships with local businesses and develop catering and corporate lunch opportunities.

Pop-up food events and themed street food nights.
Evening food concepts and special event catering.
Expanding into artisan bakery products and fresh daily bakes.
Developing the business into a thriving local corner shop offering quality bakery items, grab-and-go food, convenience essentials, and locally sourced products.
Introducing new revenue streams that complement the existing business and increase customer footfall.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience working within the food sector, ideally in a sandwich shop, café, deli, bakery, or similar food service environment.
Previous management or supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of food hygiene, food safety, and stock management.
Experience developing menus and identifying food trends.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Experience using social media to promote a business and engage customers.
A proactive, commercially minded, and results-driven approach.
The ability to work independently, make confident decisions, and lead by example.
