Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Site Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting construction and site operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within the construction industry and contribute to various projects on-site.

Duties

Assist with site preparation, including unloading materials and setting up equipment
Support tradespeople by transporting tools and materials around the site
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring health and safety standards are met
Help with the loading and unloading of lorries, containers, or storage units
Assist with basic site maintenance tasks such as clearing debris and waste
Follow safety protocols at all times to minimise risks and hazards
Support the team in completing project-specific tasks as directed by supervisors

Requirements

Previous experience in a labouring or construction environment is advantageous but not essential
Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual handling tasks throughout the day
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks on-site
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment
Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory

This role is suitable for motivated individuals eager to gain practical experience within the construction sector, contributing positively to team efforts while developing valuable skills for future career progression.

Pay: £12.21-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39.0 per week
