Full job description

Job Overview
We are growing construction and are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing financial data. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a ever expanding organisation, working with various accounting software and systems.

The ideal applicant will be enthusiastic to learn, self-motivated, and have strong communication skills. Whilst accounts payable/ office administration experience is preferred it is not essential due to the robust in house training provided.

Duties

Daily record of purchase invoices and credit notes
Reconciliation of invoices to purchase orders
Reconciliation of delivery notes to invoices
Produce and issue remittances
Assistance with weekly payment runs
Reconciliation of supplier account statements
Reconciliation of CIS statements
Dealing with invoices queries / disputes
Verification and insurance checks of supply chain
Credit account applications
General administration assistance to the accounts department
General administration assistance to the office including answering incoming calls, greeting visitors and postal duties

Qualifications

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero, is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently within a team and independently when required
Good communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Previous experience within financial services or related sectors is beneficial but not essential

The role is for a full time position based in our Kings Hill head office. Working Hours are 7:30 to 5pm Monday - Thursday and 7:30-12:30 Friday . Benefits include 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, Private Healthcare, Death in Service and Group Pension scheme. Salary is dependant on experience.
