Full job description

Gateway is a leading property services company, offering expert solutions in property management, sales and lettings, conveyancing, mortgage advice, insurance, facilities management, surveying, and energy management.

As we continue to grow, we seek passionate and driven individuals to join our friendly team.

We are looking for an experienced Carpet Cleaner who can also turn their hand to Jet Washing to cover our portfolio of properties.

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

Carpet Cleaning Duties:

Deep cleaning carpets using professional extraction equipment
Treating stains, high traffic areas, and odour affected zones
Applying appropriate cleaning chemicals safely and effectively
Conducting pre clean inspections and identifying areas requiring specialist treatment
Ensuring carpets are left clean, fresh, and presentable for residents and clients

Jet Washing Duties:

Jet washing external surfaces including patios, pathways, car parks, bin stores, and building entrances
Removing moss, algae, grime, and surface build up
Operating high pressure equipment safely and efficiently
Ensuring all areas are left clean, safe, and visually improved

Additional Responsibilities:

Basic maintenance checks on equipment
Reporting faults, hazards, or site issues promptly
Completing job sheets and maintaining accurate records
Following health and safety procedures at all times
Providing excellent customer service to residents, clients, and site teams
Occasionally provide general communal cleaning cover, including hoovering, dusting, polishing, wiping down surfaces and sweeping.

What You Need

We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining consistently high standards of work. A naturally proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, the ideal candidate will be reliable, conscientious, and always strive to exceed client expectations.

Works well independently and as part of a team
Maintains a professional and friendly approach at all times
Shows initiative in identifying and addressing issues
Is physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
A full, clean manual driving licence (essential for the role)
Previous carpet cleaning or jet washing experience (preferred)
Available for occasional Saturday work when required

Job Location: On the road, frequent stay aways will be required
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, worked across five days within a seven-day period.
Salary: Competitive with an annual review
Annual leave: 20 days plus bank holidays
