Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a vibrant restaurant or hotel setting, supporting culinary staff and contributing to a high standard of service.

Responsibilities

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to meet health and safety standards
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
Maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen, including floors, work surfaces, and storage areas
Organising and storing clean crockery and cutlery efficiently
Supporting the kitchen team during busy periods by ensuring supplies are readily available
Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in line with company policies

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of restaurant or hotel environments is advantageous
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with health regulations

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.70-£18.02 per hour
