THABTA Associate Educator – Hair & Beauty

THABTA – The Hair & Beauty Training Academy
Glasgow City Centre | Self-Employed Associate | £18 per hour | Flexible Hours

THABTA is expanding our team of Associate Educators, and we are looking for experienced, qualified and passionate educators to join us.

This is a part-time, flexible opportunity, ideal for educators who already have their own business, another job or other professional commitments and would like to become part of a growing professional training academy.

About THABTA

THABTA – The Hair & Beauty Training Academy is an established professional training academy based in Glasgow city centre, specialising in high-quality education across hairdressing, beauty, nails, massage and complementary therapies.

Founded in 2020, THABTA has grown into a busy and highly regarded training academy, welcoming hundreds of learners through our doors and building an excellent reputation for professional, supportive and inclusive education.

We are incredibly proud to have built a strong reputation amongst our learners, supported by 150+ five-star Google reviews and consistently positive learner feedback.

Our courses are delivered in small groups, allowing learners to receive individual guidance, practical support and constructive feedback throughout their training. Maintaining the quality of the learner experience and the high standards associated with the THABTA name is extremely important to us.

As THABTA enters its next stage of growth, we are expanding our educator team and looking for talented industry professionals who share our commitment to delivering exceptional training and inspiring the next generation of hair and beauty professionals.

Areas of Expertise

We are currently looking for educators with specialist expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Hairdressing

Bouncy Blow Dry
Hair Up Styling
Keratin Blow Dry
Hair Extensions

Beauty, Nails & Complementary Therapies

Lash Lift – Traditional & Korean
Brow Lamination
Hybrid Brows
Threading
Lash Extensions
Spray Tan
Swedish Massage
Hot Stone Massage
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Indian Head Massage
Manicure
Pedicure
Gel Polish
BIAB

You do not need to teach all of these subjects.

We are looking for specialists who are confident and highly skilled within their own area of expertise. You may teach just one subject or several, depending on your qualifications, experience and availability.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

TQFE, AET or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is essential
Teaching and/or training experience
Strong current or recent industry experience within their specialist area
Relevant professional qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A professional, supportive and learner-focused approach
Current PVG membership or willingness to obtain appropriate PVG membership

Above all, we are looking for educators who can teach, inspire, encourage and support learners, while bringing excellent practical industry knowledge into the training environment.

Teaching at THABTA

Our Associate Educators will work with structured THABTA course materials and teaching resources, helping to provide consistency in course delivery and maintain our high educational standards.

We want our educators to bring their own personality, experience and specialist expertise to their teaching while delivering training in line with the standards and learner experience associated with THABTA.
