Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within a dynamic financial services environment. The ideal applicant will have experience with recognised accounting software and data entry, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
Utilise accounting software such as Workday, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or QuickBooks to maintain financial records
Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions with precision and efficiency
Assist in reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports as required
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Maintain organised records of all financial documents and correspondence
Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and ensure compliance with organisational policies

Experience

Proven experience working with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, Workday, PeopleSoft or QuickBooks is highly desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with accounts payable procedures and general ledger management
Experience in data entry within a financial context is essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work undertaken
