Labourer – Bricklaying Construction Site

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team on a busy bricklaying construction site. The successful candidate will support bricklayers and site supervisors with a range of general labouring duties to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Duties

Assisting bricklayers with day-to-day site tasks
Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving bricks, blocks, mortar, and other construction materials around site
Preparing mortar as required
Keeping the site clean, tidy, and organised at all times
Assisting with site preparation and setting up work areas for bricklaying activities
Clearing debris, waste materials, and excess mortar from working areas
Supporting with the safe storage and organisation of tools, equipment, and materials
Carrying out general labouring duties as directed by site supervisors and tradespeople
Assisting with deliveries and distributing materials to relevant work areas
Following all site health and safety procedures and reporting any hazards immediately

Requirements

Valid CSCS card is essential
Previous experience working on a construction site is preferred
Experience supporting bricklayers or working on bricklaying projects would be advantageous
Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual labour, including lifting and moving materials
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Good understanding of site health and safety practices
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions effectively
Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to assist where needed
Valid identification required for employment checks
