Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist working Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors alike. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate appointments, and ensure a smooth flow of daily activities within a busy medical practice. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that fosters excellent patient experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative skills while contributing to quality healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a friendly and professional first impression
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently using practice management software
Answer incoming phone calls promptly, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff or departments
Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and update records accurately
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and fax communications
Maintain a clean, organized reception area to ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing patient documentation

Qualifications

Prior office experience demonstrating strong organizational skills and customer service abilities
Administrative experience preferred, with familiarity in handling schedules, records, and communication tools
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent programs
A positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork
