Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety and preparation, with a flair for creating delicious meals that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Assist in meal preparation and presentation, ensuring dishes are visually appealing and served promptly.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
Help develop new menu items and seasonal offerings that reflect current culinary trends.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary to maintain stock.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any maintenance issues to management.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef/Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Excellent cooking skills with the ability to prepare diverse cuisines.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continually improve skills and knowledge within the industry.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
