Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe during busy periods. Previous experience is essential, but full training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within the hospitality industry.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Handle customer orders efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety standards.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
Operate cash registers, process payments accurately, and handle transactions with professionalism.
Restock supplies and ensure that the café environment remains tidy and inviting throughout shifts.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold hygiene standards at all times.

Skills

Knowledge of food safety regulations relevant to the hospitality sector.
Previous barista experience is mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
Basic food preparation skills to assist with light kitchen tasks when needed.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders efficiently.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Excellent time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who enjoy working in a lively environment while delivering exceptional service to customers. We value team players who are eager to learn and grow within our team.
