Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive technology and a strong mechanical aptitude to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
Diagnose faults using specialised tools and equipment
Repair or replace faulty parts, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid top-ups
Test vehicles post-repair to ensure all issues have been resolved effectively
Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during operations
Assist with the ordering of parts and tools required for repairs

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
Familiarity with power tools used in automotive repair processes
Ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems accurately
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are desirable but not essential
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £26,000.00 per year
