Role: Business Administration Apprentice

Contract: Apprenticeship

Hours: Monday – Friday 0830-1730

Location: Dartford

This role offers a strong focus on customer engagement and inside sales, giving you exposure to sales processes, client communication, and business development activities. You’ll learn how to build relationships, support revenue growth, and develop key commercial skills - all while earning and learning in a supportive environment.

Purpose Of the Role:

To support the Inside Sales function by assisting with customer engagement, maintaining sales data, and helping to develop and manage client relationships. You will play a key role in supporting business growth by providing excellent customer service and contributing to sales-related activities and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Inside Sales team in developing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers
Assist with customer communications, including handling queries, providing updates, and ensuring a high level of service
Maintain and update customer information and activity within internal systems (CRM), ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
Prepare basic pricing information, quotations, and sales-related documentation under guidance
Assist with account management activities, including tracking shipments and supporting customer requirements
Work closely with operational teams to ensure smooth service delivery for customers
Support the creation of reports on customer activity, sales performance, and KPIs
Help identify opportunities for customer growth and improved service offerings
Handle general administrative tasks to support the sales function, including inbox management and coordination of information
Answer and manage incoming calls professionally, directing queries appropriately and supporting customer needs

The Ideal candidate will have:

Strong communication skills - confident speaking with customers and colleagues
A genuine interest in sales, customer service, and business development
Organised with good attention to detail
Ability to build rapport and maintain positive working relationships
A proactive approach with willingness to learn and take initiative
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks
Positive, outgoing, and team-oriented attitude
Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
Strong problem-solving mindset and customer-focused approach
