Are you an experienced Tax professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a proactive and client-focused Tax Senior to join a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Chelmsford.

This is an excellent opportunity to manage your own portfolio of clients, deliver high-quality tax compliance services, mentor junior team members, and become part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

The Role

As a Tax Senior, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients while ensuring work is completed accurately, on time, and within budget. You'll play a key role in building strong client relationships, supporting junior colleagues, and maintaining the highest professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of clients, providing an outstanding level of service.
Prepare and review personal and business tax returns accurately and efficiently.
Ensure work is delivered within agreed deadlines and budgets.
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
Support and mentor junior members of the tax team.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and deliver added value to clients.
Represent the firm professionally with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

ATT qualification (essential).
CTA qualification (desirable).
3-5 years' tax experience within an accountancy practice.
Experience managing your own portfolio of clients.
A broad knowledge of UK taxation.
Experience using tax software and Microsoft Office.
