Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, skilled and detail-oriented Bench Joiner / Carpenter to join our team as a sub-contractor or direct team member in our workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing bespoke wooden components and structures with precision and craftsmanship. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for carpentry and joinery to contribute to high-quality projects in a dynamic construction environment. The successful applicant will work on various projects such as countertops, doors, IPS units and cubicles etc to NHS standards, including working with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

Duties

Fabricate wooden components according to detailed drawings and specifications
Assemble joinery elements using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
Carry out heavy lifting of materials safely to facilitate construction projects and delivery of goods for work
Occasional site work me be required for this role, as such an Enhanced DBS checks will be required due to site locations
Conduct construction painting, finishing, and touch-ups to achieve desired aesthetic results
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Collaborate with other team members in the workshop or on site when required

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and carpentry or joinery work, preferably having worked to NHS standards
Proficient with industry specific power and hand tools
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 in Carpentry/Joinery or similar NVQ/City's & Guild, and CSCS card is desirable
Must be willing to undertake Enhanced DBS Check
Basic understanding of plumbing, masonry, electrical systems is advantageous but not essential
Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
Organised with good time-management skills to meet project deadlines

This role provides an engaging environment for dedicated professionals eager to develop their skills further within the construction industry.

Training will be provided where required.

Overtime often available.
