Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor/Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant bar environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and service quality.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all bar activities, ensuring smooth and efficient service
Lead, motivate, and manage the bar team to deliver outstanding customer service
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes related to bar snacks and light meals
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in all areas
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and monitor inventory to minimise waste
Train staff on service procedures, food safety protocols, and product knowledge
Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster a welcoming atmosphere
Organise staff rotas, assign duties, and monitor performance to optimise team productivity
Collaborate with kitchen staff on food production and presentation standards
Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and staff schedules

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality roles
Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
Experience in kitchen operations or hotel service is highly desirable
Barista experience or background in coffee preparation is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Leadership qualities with a focus on customer satisfaction and team development

This role is ideal for a motivated individual passionate about delivering exceptional service in a lively bar setting. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to management.
