Full job description

Buyers Club is a neighbourhood bar and fresh pasta kitchen. We are renowned in the city for our high quality food, drinks and service and we are looking for a Standout bar manager to join our team!

Bar Manager

Duties:

To orchestrate two menu changes per year, creating accurate specs and FAQs.
To ensure allergen information is continually kept up-to-date.
To develop and implement bar SOPs.
To ensure the bar is clean, organised, and well-maintained.
To enforce health and safety regulations and ensure staff adherence.
To ensure the bar operates at a 5 star EHO standard.
To oversee the maintenance and repair of bar equipment and facilities, escalating issues where required to the General Manager.
To train and manage the bar team.
To ensure SOPs are being followed by the team.
To conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
To manage direct reports’ underperformance.
To hold regular 121s with direct reports to deliver feedback in an open and honest way.
To use tools at your disposal to motivate and engage front of house staff in financial performance and driving spend per head.

Skills:

Good knowledge of cocktails, keg dispense systems and wine.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
Great customer service.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a hospitality setting.
