Full job description

Pay is negotiable based on experience.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the yard, ensuring it remains safe, efficient, and well organised. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Oversee the daily operations of the yard.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
Coordinate the movement and storage of stock, equipment, and vehicles.
Load and unload deliveries where required.
Carry out regular yard inspections and ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and other team members to keep operations running smoothly.
Report any maintenance issues or equipment faults.

Skills

Previous experience in a yard management, warehouse, or similar operational role is preferred.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A positive, can-do attitude with good attention to detail.
Forklift licence
