Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Server/Waitress to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure a welcoming atmosphere, and contribute to a memorable dining experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food, beverage service, and guest relations to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction
Assist with setting tables, refilling water glasses, and clearing used dishes promptly
Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to answer guest queries confidently
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly
Handle cash or electronic payments accurately and efficiently
Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues during busy periods

Qualifications

Previous experience in japanese restaurant or hospitality service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills are advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
