Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily office functions, providing administrative support, and maintaining efficient communication across departments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and experience in office administration to contribute to a professional and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, directing enquiries appropriately
Receive and process timber treatment orders
Maintain accurate and up-to-date job files and documentation
Verify incoming load paperwork against order details
Record allocation of timber to treatment tanks
Complete and file treatment charge sheets for each job
Coordinate office supplies procurement and inventory management
Provide general administrative support to team members to facilitate daily operations

Requirements

Proven office experience or administrative background demonstrating organisational skills
Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and document preparation
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with professional phone etiquette
Experience with clerical tasks such as filing, scheduling, and document management
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience in administrative or office support roles is desirable but not essential
