Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager/Duty Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service standards, supervising staff, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food and beverage management, team leadership, and hospitality to contribute to a thriving establishment. The position is paid and suitable for candidates with relevant experience in restaurant, hotel, or bar settings.

Duties

Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
Supervise and support bar staff, including training and development
Ensure all beverages are prepared to high standards, including cocktail mixing and the keeping of Real Ale
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory control
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in compliance with health regulations
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality service and fostering a positive team environment
Assist in organising special events or promotions to enhance customer engagement

Qualifications

Proven experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant, pub, or bar setting
Experience in serving, hospitality management, and team leadership skills
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams effectively
Knowledge of health regulations related to food safety and hygiene standards
A personable approach with strong communication skills suitable for a diverse clientele
Helping to create, promote and help run events as well as pushing existing events to maximise foot fall and takings
