Overview

Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Assistant, where your energy and attention to detail will drive the smooth operation of our logistics and inventory processes. In this vital role, you will support materials handling, shipping, receiving, and stock management to ensure products are accurately stored, prepared, and dispatched. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse operations while contributing to a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Your proactive approach will help maintain efficiency and uphold quality standards across all warehouse activities.

Responsibilities

Assist with materials handling tasks including loading, unloading, and moving stock using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and process shipments efficiently.
Prepare orders by picking and packing items accurately according to specifications to ensure timely dispatch.
Support shipping and receiving operations by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition.
Stock shelves and organize inventory to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access for team members.
Conduct quality control checks on products to identify damages or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
Perform heavy lifting safely when handling bulky or heavy items, following proper techniques to prevent injury.

Qualifications

Proven warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred.
Knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification is a plus.
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software.
Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, load & unload activities, and standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail for picking, packing, and quality control processes.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
