Job Overview

We are excited to announce the opening of Flying Horse Coffee in Hackney and are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated team members to join our new café. This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a vibrant, customer-focused environment, delivering high-quality coffee and food service. Successful candidates will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons while honing their skills in the hospitality industry. All positions are paid and are ideal for individuals passionate about coffee, food, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items in accordance with company standards
Ensure all food safety regulations are strictly followed to maintain hygiene and quality standards
Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, taking orders accurately and delivering exceptional customer care
Assist with food preparation tasks, including assembling ingredients and maintaining cleanliness of workstations
Manage cash register operations, including handling payments accurately using basic maths skills
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality
Support team members as needed to ensure smooth daily operations and an enjoyable customer experience

Experience

Previous barista experience or background in serving food and beverages is highly desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours
Passion for delivering excellent customer service with a friendly, professional attitude
Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment
