Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively environment where your hospitality skills can shine and contribute to memorable guest experiences.

Duties

Welcome guests warmly and take their drink orders with attentiveness and professionalism
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and safety standards
Ensure the bar area remains clean, organised, and fully stocked throughout the shift
Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently
Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, and upcoming events to assist guests effectively
Assist in setting up the bar before opening and closing duties at the end of each shift
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or food service environments, preferably within a restaurant or bar setting
Strong understanding of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Good organisational skills to manage multiple orders efficiently during peak times
Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately and giving correct change
Effective time management to prioritise tasks and ensure prompt service
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
Knowledge of current licensing laws related to alcohol service is advantageous
