Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Transport Planner to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing transportation routes to ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining cost efficiency. Your proactive management skills will help streamline supply chain operations, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance overall operational performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead transportation planning efforts in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your expertise in logistics and management to make a tangible impact.

Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate efficient transportation routes that meet delivery deadlines and optimize resource utilization
Manage daily scheduling of deliveries and pickups, ensuring adherence to customer requirements and company standards
Monitor vehicle movements and driver performance using IT systems and GPS tracking tools
Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve logistical issues promptly and effectively
Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery schedules, and transportation costs using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
Oversee compliance with safety regulations and driving laws across all transportation activities
Lead a team of drivers and logistics staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a high-performance environment

Requirements

Proven experience in management within logistics or supply chain environments
Valid driving license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial vehicle operation preferred
Strong knowledge of logistics planning, supply chain processes, and transportation management systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and IT systems related to transportation planning
Excellent communication skills in English for effective coordination with team members and external partners
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under pressure
Computer literacy with familiarity in managing data entry, reporting, and route optimization software
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
