Job Title: Cook / Chef – Care Home Setting

Location: Dickleburgh, Norfolk

Shift pattern: To include working every other weekend

Located in the friendly village of Dickleburgh, we offer a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel safe, respected, and valued. Our dedicated team works together to ensure every aspect of daily life supports the health, wellbeing, and happiness of those who live with us.

Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Cook to join our team. You’ll be responsible for preparing freshly cooked meals that meet the dietary needs, preferences, and cultural requirements of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and serve meals in line with seasonal menus and resident preferences.
Cater for special dietary requirements, including allergies, medical needs, and texture-modified diets.
Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety (in line with Food Hygiene Regulations).
Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and minimise waste.
Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure mealtimes are enjoyable and person-centred.

Requirements

Previous experience as a cook/chef (care home or catering environment preferred).
Food Hygiene Level 2 (Level 3 desirable).
Knowledge of dietary needs for older adults.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Friendly, patient, and a genuine passion for cooking for others.
