Full job description

We are looking for a highly experienced and capable Administrator to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team on a 6 month fixed term contract.

This is a temporary position for an initial period of 6 months and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

This isn't a role where you'll be waiting for work to come to you. We have a number of projects and workstreams that need additional administrative support, so we're looking for someone who can come in, quickly understand what needs to be done and get stuck in.

The role sits within our QA department, so previous experience working within Quality, a regulated environment, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, manufacturing or a similar setting would be helpful. However, strong administrative experience is more important to us than specific QA experience.

We're looking for someone who is organised, confident and proactive, who can work through a significant volume of work accurately without needing constant direction.

What You'll Be Doing

The role will predominantly involve project-based administrative work, which may include:

Reviewing, organising and updating documentation and records
Supporting QA projects and helping to work through outstanding actions
Data entry and maintaining accurate electronic records
Reviewing information for completeness and following up where information is missing
Updating trackers, spreadsheets and internal systems
Preparing, formatting and filing controlled documentation
Coordinating information from different teams and departments
Identifying what needs to be done and proactively progressing work
Providing general administrative support to the QA team as priorities change

This is a hands-on role and we're looking for someone who is happy to work at pace, take ownership and see tasks through to completion.

About You

You'll ideally be someone who:

Has significant previous experience in an administrative role
Is a genuine self-starter who doesn't need to be constantly supervised
Is comfortable picking up a project or backlog of work and working methodically through it
Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in accuracy
Is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
Is comfortable learning new systems and processes quickly
Has a practical, flexible approach and is willing to get stuck in wherever support is needed
Communicates confidently with colleagues at different levels of the business

Previous Quality Assurance or regulated-industry experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential. We would rather appoint an excellent and experienced administrator who can quickly learn our processes than make QA experience a prerequisite.

About the Contract

Please note that this vacancy is being recruited as a 6 month fixed term contract to provide additional resource for a defined period of project work.

We are therefore particularly interested in candidates who are available immediately or at short notice and are comfortable joining the business specifically for a temporary assignment.
