Full job description

20 hours per week plus flexibility needed to cover annual leave and sickness your shifts will be 08.00 - 13.30 or 13.30-18.30 this will be a mixture of shifts from Monday to Friday.

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the surgery
Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries or directing calls as necessary.
Maintain an organised reception area, ensuring it is tidy and welcoming at all times.
Perform data entry tasks accurately, updating patient information in our systems.
Manage appointments.
Assist with clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and preparing documents as required.
Utilise Microsoft Office for various administrative tasks.
Support the GP's with tasks to ensure smooth office operations.

Experience

Previous office experience is essential, with a background in administrative roles being highly desirable.
Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications.
Strong typing skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
