Overview

We're looking for a friendly cafe cook team member to join our small independent cafe in Brinsley.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food preparation to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Must be available weekends, this role is predominantly Saturdays and Sundays with additional hours available during the week to cover leave and other team members.
Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
Assist in meal planning and portion control to minimise waste
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences
Serve food efficiently to customers, maintaining professionalism and friendliness
Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all stages of food preparation and service

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience working in a catering environment is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and menu requirements
Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes

Pay: £13.50 per hour
