Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and experienced Hair Salon Receptionist to join our vibrant team. This key role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service, managing appointments, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the salon and our stylists.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, proficiency in office and booking software, knowledge of hair salon services, and a warm, welcoming manner that reflects our commitment to outstanding client care.

This is a paid position offering an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their administrative and customer service skills within a dynamic and professional beauty environment.

Duties

Greet clients warmly and professionally upon arrival
Manage appointment bookings via phone, email, and online scheduling systems
Answer incoming calls with courteous phone etiquette and direct enquiries appropriately
Maintain an organised reception area and ensure all client records are up-to-date
Handle data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office, Phorest booking system
Process payments and issue receipts efficiently
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, inventory management, and correspondence
Support the team with general clerical duties to ensure the salon runs smoothly
Coordinate with stylists and staff to optimise appointment schedules and client flowSkills
Proven office experience with strong organisational skills
Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Treatwell or similar
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
Previous administrative or clerical experience preferred
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good typing speed for quick data entry tasks
Knowledge of appointment scheduling software is advantageous
Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
