Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the smooth operation of our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a solid background in food service and kitchen management. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a dynamic team, ensuring exceptional customer experiences through effective supervision and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure high standards of service and quality.
Supervise and motivate front-of-house and kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
Support food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, presentation, and timing to optimise service efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
Assist in organising staff schedules, training programmes, and performance appraisals.
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste.
Support the implementation of new menu items and promotional activities.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality operations.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
Culinary experience or background in kitchen operations is highly desirable.
Previous hotel or barista experience is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Strong leadership qualities combined with a customer-focused approach.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as required. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering outstanding dining experiences while advancing their managerial career within the hospitality industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
