Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Warehouse Operative to join ourfamily run logistics business. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of materials within our warehouse environment. Your energy and attention to detail will help maintain high standards of picking and packing orders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced operation where your contributions directly impact our ability to deliver excellence to our customers.

Duties

Handle materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading goods.
Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and process shipping and receiving documentation.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately for dispatch, ensuring quality control standards are met.
Stock shelves and storage areas systematically to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access.
Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory counts to maintain accurate stock records.
Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, and documenting all transactions.

Qualifications

Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or similar logistics setting is preferred.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure accuracy in picking, packing, and stock management.

Pay will be minimum wage based on age.

Part time hours can be flexible to suit,

Working Mondays is imperative and some weekend working may be required.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
