Two permanent part-time positions: 19 hours and 30.6 hours per week

Job description

Are you compassionate, friendly and highly motivated to deliver the best possible care to our clients and their pets? If so, you might be the new receptionist we need for our team!

We currently have two vacancies for Veterinary Receptionists to join our lovely team at our Abergavenny practice. We are offering one 19-hour contract and one 30.6-hour contract. The 30.6-hour role will include Saturdays on a rota basis. Travel to our Brecon, Monmouth or Tredegar branches to cover shifts maybe requested.

We are a long-established Veterinary Practice that believes wholeheartedly in gold standard patient, client and employee care.

This is a varied and rewarding role where each shift brings something new. We're looking for someone who is warm, approachable, communicates well, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.

Having the ability to build a rapport with our clients, their pets and with your colleagues is of the utmost importance.

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate proven reception experience (or fantastic communication skills), be computer literate and hold strong administration, organisational and customer service skills.

In this client care role, you will be responsible for:

· meeting and greeting pets and their owners

· scheduling appointments

· triaging telephone enquiries and seeking advice from an RVN or veterinary surgeon when needed

· processing payments

· dispensing medication as prescribed by a veterinary surgeon

· assisting with maintaining accurate stock levels

· maintaining good communication between clients and the veterinary team

· keeping the front of house area clean and welcoming

· Answering emails and sorting post

· Carrying out requests from management as needed

Experience:

· Customer Service: 1 year (Essential)

· Veterinary Receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)

Job types: Part-time, Permanent

Available contracts: 19 hours per week and 30.6 hours per week. The 30.6-hour role includes Saturdays on a rota basis.
