Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Admin Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our nursery. The successful candidate will utilise their excellent organisational skills, computer proficiency, and professional communication abilities to manage various clerical tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will be creative and be able to use this to promote the nursery via social media. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your administrative expertise within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Managing incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and directing enquiries appropriately
Organising and maintaining digital and physical filing systems for easy retrieval of documents
Performing data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office, and the nursery software programme.
Supporting the Business Manager with the nursery occupancy using the software programme
Maintaining the nursery website and social media accounts
Assisting with scheduling appointments, meetings, and calendar management
Preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations as required
Providing general administrative support to team members as needed

Skills

Proven office experience or administrative experience is preferred
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Fast and accurate typing skills for data entry purposes
Good communication skills, demonstrating professional phone etiquette
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with clerical procedures and office management systems
