Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and supporting various operational/cleaning tasks within our café. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a welcoming experience and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist customers with orders, answer queries, and provide friendly service to enhance customer satisfaction.
Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, snacks, or other light food items as required.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the register system.
Manage stock levels by restocking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
Uphold health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business.

Requirements

Candidate must be able to work weekdays and weekends all year round. Whilst university / school candidates are welcome to contact me separately for zero-hours positions, please do not apply to this role.
Previous barista experience is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
Good time management skills to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
