Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Waitress/Barista to join our vibrant team at our Mediterranean Restaurant. This role involves providing exceptional customer service in a lively café environment, preparing and serving beverages and food items, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail to deliver an outstanding experience to our guests. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the food service industry. Experience not necessary as training is provided.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring prompt service.
Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to quality standards.
Serve food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and provide correct change.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly.
Follow food safety procedures diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
Manage multiple tables or orders simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer service.
Ensure a welcoming environment by engaging with customers professionally and courteously.

Skills

Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar serving role is desirable.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures to uphold hygiene regulations.
Ability to prepare a variety of beverages with precision and consistency.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
A friendly demeanour with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Pay: £12.71-£18.33 per hour
