Bar Attendant / Relief Night Porter

Previous Night Porter experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided, so it's not essential.

We're looking for someone with a friendly personality, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service. If you enjoy meeting people, thrive in a busy environment and take pride in providing a great guest experience, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

This is primarily a Bar Attendant position, with the opportunity to provide Relief Night Porter cover when required.

The Night Porter duties are not part of a regular shift pattern. They will mainly be required to cover annual leave, sickness absence and occasional ad hoc shifts as business needs dictate.

Bar Attendant Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
Prepare and serve drinks to the highest standard.
Provide detailed information on our menus and beverages, making recommendations where appropriate.
Check customers' ID to ensure they meet the legal age requirements for purchasing alcohol.
Rotate stock and maintain displays in line with company and hotel standards.
Keep the bar clean, organised and fully stocked.
Work as part of a team to ensure every guest enjoys an excellent experience.

Relief Night Porter Responsibilities

When providing Night Porter cover, your duties will include:

Ensuring the hotel remains safe and secure throughout the night.
Carrying out regular safety and security checks.
Cleaning designated areas as instructed by management.
Completing relevant company documentation accurately.
Supporting the bar operation when required during Night Manager shifts.
Assisting with any reasonable guest requests to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Has previous bar experience (essential).
Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
Has a positive, can-do attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
Is reliable, flexible and willing to provide Night Porter cover when needed.
Takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Is keen to learn and develop within the role.
