Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled, EXPERIENCED and detail-oriented Silicone Operative to join our family run business on a Sub-Contractor basis.

The successful applicant will also hold a full, clean UK driving licence.

In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality silicone sealants and adhesives to a variety of surfaces and structures, ensuring durability, weatherproofing, and aesthetic finish.

We are a small yet extremely busy team. The availability to work on Saturdays will also be offered at time and a half per hour pay.

Please do not apply if you cannot apply silicone neatly and skilfully- we are looking for an experienced, skilled operative only., with at least 2 years of silicone application experience.

Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal adhesion of silicone products
Apply silicone sealants and adhesives accurately across diverse applications such as roofing, plumbing, masonry, and construction joints
Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and install silicone components- working on large Construction Projects for Clients such as Kier Construction and Bam Construction.
Quality checks throughout the application will be carried out by the Director process to maintain high standards of workmanship
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
Qualifications:
Proven experience in construction trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or masonry
Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., caulking guns, cutters) and power tools (e.g., drills, grinders)
Knowledge of fabrication techniques and construction painting practices is preferred
Ability to read technical instructions and follow safety protocols diligently
Experience working with silicone sealants in demanding environments is highly desirable
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
