Customer Service Team Member

Northwich, Cheshire
Full-time | Permanent
35 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 9.00am–5.00pm
£24,828 - £30,000 OTE

Timberwise is a family run specialist construction business located throughout England, Wales and Scotland that has been trading for over 50 years. The company aspires to improve people’s lives through a range of property preservation services from basement waterproofing to timber treatments. We are now looking for a full-time Customer Services Team Member to join our fantastic team based at our Head Office in Northwich, Cheshire.

As a Customer Service Team Member your role will include: -

First point of contact for our customers
Handling of customer calls
Responding to internet queries
Managing and coordinating surveyors’ diaries
Following up enquiries and outstanding actions
Keeping customers informed throughout the process
Maintaining accurate customer records
Administrative duties to include invoicing and taking payments
Prioritising a busy workload and managing changing demands.
Working closely with surveyors and colleagues to ensure customers receive a smooth and professional service

As a Customer Service Team Member, you will be:

Confident and professional when communicating with customers via telephone and email
Naturally organised and able to manage multiple priorities
Proactive and willing to take ownership
Positive, resilient and solution focused
Accurate with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working at pace
Confident using Microsoft Office and business systems
A reliable team player

Previous experience in customer service, scheduling, administration or a service based business would be beneficial.

Knowledge of UK geography would also be useful due to the scheduling element of the role.

Industry experience is not essential. We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, capability and desire to succeed.

Convert suitable enquiries into booked appointments
Keep surveyors’ diaries organised and productive
Follow up rather than wait to be chased
Complete work accurately and on time
Spot issues early and take action
Take responsibility for seeing tasks through to completion
Contribute positively to the performance of the wider team
