Role: Fabricator / Welder

Location: Paisley, Renfrewshire

The Fabricator / Welder is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components and structures in line with technical drawings and specifications. This role requires a solid understanding of metalworking processes, attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate fabrication tools and welding equipment.

What you'll be doing:

Read and interpret fabrication drawings accurately to assemble parts to specification
Fabricate and prepare materials, including cutting, drilling, and tack welding
Cut, shape, and assemble steel and other metals using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards
Carry out routine maintenance on equipment and help maintain a safe working environment
Perform MIG welding processes as required
Inspect welds and completed work to ensure quality and compliance
Follow health and safety procedures, using appropriate PPE and maintaining a safe workspace
Maintain tools and welding equipment, reporting any faults or issues
Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet deadlines
Comply with industry regulations and company quality assurance processes

About you:

SVQ/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication and Welding Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Training in Abrasive Wheels and Manual Handling (or willingness to undertake training)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Good time management and reliability
