Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the smooth operation of the café. Previous experience in a similar setting is essential. The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, customer service, and time management within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards.
Ensure all food safety protocols are followed to maintain hygiene standards.
Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and assisting with menu selections.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas throughout shifts.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Assist with food preparation tasks when required, ensuring quality and presentation are upheld.
Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during peak hours while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices is advantageous.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing demands in a lively setting.
