Full job description

Job Title: Admin & Clerical Officer

Location: Pikes Lane Health Centre Deane Rd, Bolton BL3 5HP

Hours: Full Time

Reference: 90545

What you’ll be responsible for:

Receiving and actioning incoming referrals for appointments.
Maintaining a filing system, ensuring copies of letters and other documents are filled appropriately.
Maintaining appointments systems, ensuring accuracy of detail and patient information.
Ensuring patients receive timely and accurate information in relation to their appointment needs.
Observing personal duty of care in relation to equipment and resources used within the centre.
Dealing courteously and efficiently with any telephone enquiries, ensuring that all actions relating to telephone calls are communicated to nurses/practitioners where appropriate.
Liaising with managers/nurses regarding any difficulties in offering appointments to patients.
Gathering information as required relating to clients.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Understanding of confidentiality and data protection.

· Previous NHS experience.

· Telephone manner.

· Excellent organisational and time management skills.

· Good communication skills.

· Typing skills.
