Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Waitress to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, preparing and serving beverage welcoming atmosphere for all customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit.
Serve food items promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including the coffee machine, counters, and dining area.
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards at all times.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
Provide excellent guest services by addressing customer needs promptly and courteously.
Support team members to create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Experience in food preparation or culinary activities is a plus.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly demeanour and positive attitude.
Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest experience and sales.
Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills within a dynamic team environment while delivering memorable experiences to our guests.
