Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and extensive experience in a busy kitchen environment. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression within a reputable hospitality establishment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and standards.
Coordinate food production activities to meet service times and quality expectations.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.
Support in training new team members and providing ongoing coaching to improve skills and performance.
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage inventory control.
Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials.
Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality within the kitchen environment.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen setting.
Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable.
Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles is advantageous. This position offers an engaging work environment where culinary excellence is valued, providing opportunities for professional growth within the hospitality industry.

Salary to be negotiated depending on experience.

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
